Professional Development and Research
The Perpich Center for Arts Education works with communities, a statewide network of teachers, teaching artists and administrators in schools, and arts organizations throughout Minnesota to improve teaching and learning in and through the arts.
Innovation In and Through Arts Education
The center provides professional and technical support in the arts areas of Dance, Literary Arts, Media Arts, Music, Theater and Visual Arts for preschool, elementary, middle and secondary schools. Center staff also helps educators improve educational outcomes through research and interdisciplinary arts education.
Through grants and professional development programs, the Center strengthens the arts education community, and provides access to high quality arts experiences to students statewide.
Partnerships and networks improve student achievement in and through the arts.
The center plays a leadership role in the design and implementation of K12 Arts Standards.
Educators throughout Minnesota get easy access to professional best-practices through publications and curriculum tools.
The outreach team maintains critical partnerships with arts and educational institutions statewide.
Summer Courses for Educators 2009
