The PCAE Library

The Perpich Center for Arts Education (PCAE) Library is an information and resource center for students, faculty, staff, and for the general public.

The Perpich Center library offers students and visitors a comfortable setting for research and study. The collection consists of over 10,000 print books, an extensive collection of DVDs, video recordings and sound recordings, and over 15,000 electronic books. This unique collection provides academic and arts centered resources for the curriculum taught at the Arts High School as well as a Professional collection and arts education resources for Minnesota residents.

A computer lab with Internet access, as well as wireless access, make this library an ideal location for writing papers, doing research, and checking email. Two small study rooms are also available apart from the main library for viewing video, listening to music, or quiet reading.

Residents of Minnesota may check out library materials from this collection. For more information about this service, please go to the Visitor Information link on our web page. Teachers, school administrators, college and graduate students, and teaching artists will particularly be interested in what is available in this library collection.

All library materials may be searched via MnPALS (the PCAE Library online catalog). Contact library staff for assistance with locating and reserving materials.

The library's unique collection is focused on the arts and education, supporting the academic and arts curriculum at the Arts High School and K-12 arts education in Minnesota. Library staff provide reference assistance, collection development, and library instruction.
