Thespian Charter of the International Thespian Society

Since its beginning in 1929 under the name National Thespians, the Educational Theatre Association has worked to promote and strengthen school theatre by recognizing and rewarding excellence. They strive, alongside educators, advocates, and artists, to make theatre an instrument of lifelong learning. The Association also serves as the eyes, ears, and voice of the school theatre community, advocating a stronger role for theatre education in the curriculum.

The following students have earned membership in the world’s largest organization honoring high school theater students and will be inducted into the Perpich Center for Arts Education Thespian Charter Troupe No. 7539 (*Troupe Officers):

National "Young Art"s Winners 2010

Out of the 488 Young Arts winners in 2010 at the prestigious National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts, three are from the Perpich Arts High School's Media Arts Program. Approximately 6,000-8,000 students register for YoungArts each year.

Peter Holme won an Honorable Mention for his Photography portfolio.

Sam Ekren and Hannah Ezzell won Merit Awards for their Cinematic Arts Portfolios.

 

Minnesota Scholastic Art Awards
MSAA is a statewide regional affiliation of the national Scholastic Art Awards program, which offers early recognition of creative teenagers and scholarship opportunities for graduating high school seniors.

Minnesota students submitted 1312 individual and portfolio entries this year, and the jurors awarded 196 Gold and Silver Awards. Perpich Arts High School students submitted 121 individual and portfolio entries (9.2% of the total entries) and received 25 Gold and Silver Awards (12.8% of the total awards given).
